Two Decades at the World Financial Center and Battery Park City

1981-87:
In the early 1980's Pelli Clarke Pelli was given the commission to design a set of four buildings surrounding the World Trade Center's twin towers. Each tower has a unique design that complimented the aesthetics and skyline created by the two icon's of business and the American way of life.
At ground level plazas spread out from the buildings to the waters edge at Battery Park.2003:
Pelli Clarke Pelli was invited in 2003 to build a new residential tower in Battery Park City a few blocks from the World Financial Center. The design was the first sustainable high-rise residential tower.

2006:
The Verdesian was the first residential high rise to attain a LEED Platinum rating, while still adhering to Battery Park's strict design standards.

2009:
The Visionaire is Pelli Clarke Pelli's newest building in Battery Park City. The building contains over 250 residential units, and all the amenities residents could need on the first ten stories. The building, although not yet completed, has been awarded a LEED Platinum Certification. The buildings most notable sustainable features include computer controlled ventilation and lighting systems, water management and treatment for reuse and a low-emissivity glass and terracotta rainscreen.
